by replacing the spring clips with the proper clips for the intended upper receiver.
The
BC-BICH BRASS CATCHER
is
designed to work with a built in carry handle.
Your brass catcher comes with 3-rubberized spring steel clips which snap over the lower portion of the carry handle and suspend the resin chute along with the quick connect bag.
If
the ejection port cover is closed, simply hang the clips over the lower portion of the handle; now push the clips and unit downward and it will snap over the port cover into place. Remove by lifting the extended clip tabs upward.
With the ejection port cover open, engage the lower interior portion of the catcher chute first as shown below; then rotate upward and push the spring clip or clips over the handle base. Removal is done in reverse by pulling upward on the extended spring clip tabs.
Emptying the bag can be accomplished in 2 ways. Either remove the entire unit or detach the bag from the casting. To remove the bag, simply compress the release toggle and slide it along the cord; increasing the bag opening.
The custom hand sewn bag attaches securely to the lower flared edges of the semi flexible/abrasive resistant chute using friction from the sewn in para-cord and cord lock.
There are no zippers to fuss with or break.
The generous size bag is capable of holding well over (1 lb. 3oz.+) but we don't suggest pushing it to that point. In the event an overloaded bag does slip off, most of the brass will be contained or found in close proximity; not somewhere on the ground 15 feet away. Even with the ability to securely hold over 1 pound of spent casings, the entire unit weighs in at just over 2-1/2 ounces.
The heavy canvas weight bag has an opening size of 2-1/2" x 4-1/2" and hangs to a 4-1/2" wide rounded point 5" down from the lower edge of the casting.
With the
BC-BICH
installed,
interference with the trigger finger placement is not a problem. Although part of the magazine release button is just under the lower rear edge of the casting and the rest is obscured by the bag, finding and depressing the button with the trigger finger is not an issue. The ejection port cover opens as normal, while closing it requires removing the bag or the complete unit.
Our resin castings are professionally injection molded for us here in the USA.
We hand bend the clips on jigs, heat treat and rubberize them in our on-site shop along with hand making our custom bags from start to finish.

Our Brass Catcher & Bag is adaptable to the Picatinny Flat Top Receiver and the Picatinny Flat Top with the Removable Carry Handle attached. Swapping out the spring clips with the proper clips for the intended upper receiver is all that is required.
