    Description

    This collectible investment is a pair of unused 1870s checks drawn on banks in the northeast.
    The New York (NY) instrument exhibits an orange
    RN-D1
    printed revenue stamp. The Northampton (MA) piece has a buff
    RN-D4
    stamp.
    Both checks are in uncirculated condition, with excellent paper quality.
    Both stamps are bright, well formed and are first class examples of the characteristic D1 and D4 shades.
